EQ50 is a collective of women working towards fairer representation within drum and bass.
The initiative was launched in Dec 2018 as a response to the gender inequality within drum and bass. In 2020 we launched our inaugural mentorship in collaboration with Critical Music, Function Records, Shogun Audio, Ram Records and V Recordings.
DJ FLIGHT ON EQ50 MENTORSHIP:
“WE HOPE IT INSPIRES A NEW GENERATION OF WOMEN IN DRUM ‘N’ BASS”
The mentorship will work to redress D&B's gender imbalance and pair each mentee with a notable label in the scene.
A huge benefit of offering five womxn a mentorship is the peer to peer support that will be on offer. They will be able to form their own network and support structures which can have a huge effect on confidence and self esteem.
